I Suggest You Read These Documents And Commentary Entirely.

Over and over again if need be.

They clearly kill the argument that the Eurocans and Americans are as far apart in thought as they are in geograpy. Please pay particular attention to the FACT that Americans were NOT asked whether they thought their foreign policy played a part in 911 attacks.I believe it to be an intentional oversight that casts at least a small amount of doubt on the results, but in investigating the agencies and results,I can see no clear connections that would lead me to believe they wanted a predetermined outcome.Go figure!

I agree that fair polling results should include the questions exactly as they were asked, but when you get into reasons, that extends the polls to be more intrusive with people and they often don’t like to elaborate.

A poll recently done in the ME on the Pal’s. views was somewhat suspect, but I can’t really find a smoking gun connection to discredit it other than the fact the agency is run by American ex-pats of Arab extract. The questions were long, confusing and multi – tiered to the extent that one part of a question could be seen in conflict to another part of the very same question. So while a respondent might say yes to one part , he/she might have said no or not sure to the other.

Then we had the commentary added from the local ME news things and the international news things that took the results and pretty well made from them what the agenda of each publication wanted , mainly because it is only people like a few of us here who go though the trouble of actually investigating the data on the net to determine their accuracy and they don’t think they will be questioned..Joe six pak or the patron at the bagel café would look at the news paper and believe E-X-A-C-T-L-Y what was presented to them.

Bottom line?

Some folks on here and generally on SI had the Eurocans painted with some pretty ugly paint over this past few months. I had little other than my own feelings and small amounts of data ( being outside the US )to argue that point. It appears my “ gut feelings “were mostly correct.I wonder what “ they “ will come up with next to try to divide America and its long time allies?
