Say it ain't so, OMD!

Premium channels and surround sound? I'm thinking of the Woody Allen quip that if men had breasts, they'd do nothing but fondle themselves all day long.

I'm amazed you can leave the house with all that equipment at the ready. :-)

TECHTV !!

They have a great web-site as well

You may have had it before digital cable, but it is marvelous.

History & International History are also excellent.

Make sure you put the parental lock code on for the HBO/Showtime softporn etc..

I have mine set for R and above needs the code

kids know the code - but they know it's a line that they shouldnt cross

You won't be interested in Sex in the City, I don't think. It's supremely vulgar and callow, imo. Give it a try and report back. The Sopranos (that's the name of an Italian, mob-connected family, not some singers') is a great show, mostly because of the brilliant acting of James Gandolfini, though the script is intelligent, and has risen to the level of real art on occasion.

I like Six Feet Under, too. It's not the Sopranos, but it's fun. I think its main draw, unless one is drawn to the macabre, is its main male character, the remarkably sympathetic, lovable-yet-very-attractive actor who plays Nate. He has the sweetest, most expressive face. A little hapless, you want to hug him.

Until some of the reality shows came on, I watched hardly any TV. NYPD Blue, the Sopranos after mr. mark urged me to watch it, Seinfeld before it ended, and King of the Hill. Some magazine shows. I think that's it. SI is TV for me, I guess. I used to look at the news, but after 9/11 I sort of stopped. I'm going to start again.

So tell me, what channel should we turn the TV to in here?

Since expense is no object, I suggest a live band. Or two. One should be Dixieland, I went to party a little while ago with a Dixieland band, it was so CHEERFUL.

Some bluegrass, also live?

Let's hire Kelly for a personal appearance.

Whoa, it's on now so that's it for suggestions.
