California's deregulation plan
Tom Hayden ... There were some Democrats in the California legislature, but in 1996 the majority was Republican and the governor was Republican and they pushed for the plan. It wasn't deregulation per se that was the problem, the problem was the crooks scamming the plan and their leader was Cheney who had his hand up Junior's a*s so he would say the right things to keep the extortion scheme going.
