And thats what was done to pal arabs by the leaders of arab states who preserved their rule by deflection domestic anger against the jews while not permitting pal arabs to accept partition or any other fair settlement culmination in Barak offer. Every time they miss a chance, the next time they go back to the old deal witness talk a few weeks ago of now being ready to accept barak plan. Peace was a whisker away and what do you get suicide bombing. It just does not make any sense at all and any sympathy i have for palestinian plight, becomes minimized by the atrocities of their terrorists and the realization that many of them still dream of driving the jews into the sea.
Jews don't swim anymore. And if they did, the outcome for the Palestinians would be annihilation too. Not a pretty picture for two dispace peoples pushed to fight each other by 16th century saudis and phony arab nationalists and bogus religious leaders. mike

OT

RE: "...have lost everything..."

The US, EU, UN, Russia, and the Arab League have all called for a Palestinian state in the West bank, Gaza, and E. Jerusalem. Clinton/Barak offerred it in 2000.

Could it be that the problem is that this new state will not be built on the ashes of Israel?

In the 20th Century, Armenians and Jews, citizens of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, "lost everything". The Palestinians have not. I hope they come to their senses before things get really bad.

FWIW and not erekats response. I like the line about how the world is sick of all of us repeating ourselves with our respective plights. I think this thread might be sick of all of us continuing to argue these points. Cheers for the peacemakers.
