FWIW, if I recall correctly, all mufu's over a certain dollar amount have discretionary power to limit or halt redemptions. I've seen this referred to several times and wish I would have saved the references. I don't think it takes the prez or Fed.

i frankly don't see a way of insuring equities.

maybe a huge caveat emptor on the cover of the prospectus?
