Is your take that F is a very weak candidate

He looked like a Headlighted Deer.

she was too moderate for the increasingly strident right wing portions of the Jersey party

Same problem the Repubs have in California. You have to "take the oath" on abortion to get nominated. However this country is a lot less "Pro-Abortion" than the Media and the left is. T is such a crook that you would think he would not even run. Maybe the National Republicans will put an "Advisor" in with F and get him on message.

has gotten more appointments through the Judiciary committee then Clinton was able to

I am not that close to it to know. I am sure that the Republicans were just as stubborn as the Dems are now.

I do know that the articles I have read about what goes on in the hearings is "stomach-turning." The viciousness is really bad, and they try to "Bork" everyone.

It gets more and more difficult to get good candidates when they know the hearing will be a character assassination pit. You come out of there besmirched for life.
