Rao's " (if you could just pull a few strings for us shootie ;-) we had places just like that one in San Francisco's Northbeach , where My Grandfather would take the whole family , big tureens of minestroni , the wooden booths with candles & some with drapes for privacy and the smells of bread warming and real good home cooking going on ....and the sound of Italian being spoken , and the smiling gracious cheerful owners, lots of happiness ...just like being at their house. really were some of the best times eating out in any restaurant I can ever remember. The best ! ;-) PS: My Grandfather was a Portugese Godfather ...LOL, a self-made man .
