Jim:

"The Manufacturer is "VPR matrix". Who is that?"

They forgot the vowels...It's VaPouR matrix...or output by INTC's (V)aunted (P)ublic (R)elations matrix...

Jim, re: "The Manufacturer is "VPR matrix". Who is that?"

IIRC Best Buy has their own "brand" and I would guess this is their white box branded machines.

Then again... three seconds on Google finds the obvious:
vprmatrix.com

And the machines are available at retail and online at Best Buy -- so this does look like their own brand.

Yep - house brand. See: wswpr.net

I have seen their machines in Best Buy for a while now. They typically have a faster processor, better video card, and in general higher end components than anything that HP, Compaq, or Sony have on the shelves at the same time. I couldn't convice the sales rep to pop the cover off so I can't give a definative opinion on their overall quality but, they appear to be of higher caliber than the crap systems that CompUSA sold a few years back.
