But who is "Hodgkins"? I don't know him, or claim to know him. I know what the posts are like- but I don't imagine they sum the man, or even come close. That is all I am saying. It is simply a choice you make- how real do you believe the posts here make a person- how real do they make that person for YOU (you can't decided how real they make that person for other people)? For me, now, not very real at all. Most of the people here are less real to me than Jane Austen characters- since I know the books so well. But it is simply a personal thing. I will argue for my perspective, and I certainly won't allow anyone else to tell me how I should perceive things. On the other hand I don't want to tell anyone else how they should perceive things- except where they begin to take those decisions and act on them in a way that affects everyone, and imo, affects everyone to their detriment. But still, if kept here, I can't say it matters all that much. Enough not to give in, but not enough to get riled.
