There is ample reason to expression skepticism about glib characterizations of others with whom one has a fairly superficial acquaintance, of course. Heck, as one gets older, one gets more data and/or perspective on oneself or one's spouse, to place various things in different perspective. I didn't figure out a couple of important things about my wife until we had been together a dozen years, and even this year, I am learning some things about myself that I had not known, or had ignored. But there are various things that are less obscure or problematic, for example, whether the person is intelligent or kind, has a bad temper or is patient, is willing to admit error or prickly and defensive, that can fairly be attributed after some acquaintance within a margin of error.......
