CB's unwillingness to see how little difference there is between "lure" and "induce." Oh, now, I was going to just give up on this, but since you keep bringing it up -- I see very little difference between "lure" and "induce." But I don't think or believe that the US "lured" or "induced" the Soviets into their own Vietnam with any conscious malice aforethought. We were simply playing our own version of the Great Game, attempting to maintain a favorable balance of power in Central Asia.
