we have extreme Conflict of Interest in real estate now

the originators have no concern about creditworthiness

the GSE portfolio buyers have no concern about originations

this is akin to stock IPO's
tout the stock to the customers, like a true whore
buyers buy based on trust of the system

I read that FannyMae has insurance coverage totaling about $10-20 billion
but liabilities in the $ trillions

like Naz tech stocks, this will end badly
the higher RE goes, the farther it will drop

Was that home equity loan for 100% of the value of the house, or 100% of the balance of their existing loan?
