Other points being valid does not a solution make?

Dr. S,
There needs to be something between appeasement/suicide and expulsion/settlements.
How do you expel if no one will take them in? What is the step after that--driving them across the Jordan? Cary, please return to us from this box you have put yourself in. There have to be solutions to all problems, especially the seemingly insoluble ones.
In broad terms the Bush doctrine in Iraq and an increase in democracy and free market on West Bank along with Victory over terrorism globally and locally in israel are a first step.(A big f....g step to be sure).
And start the three year clock ticking from the day the terror ends for safetys sake.
Remember what the Japanese did to american pows and the humanity(based on self interest) which we showed the Japanese after the war. Think Douglas MacArthur in Tokyo. Think DeGaulle in Algeria. Think Mandella/de klerk in South Africa. Think about the progress of African Americans in the US--hell when we were kids they couldnt eat at lunchcounters in the south or drink from public water fountains. The world can get better. Isnt this role reversal for me and you? mike
