This seems to think MLC (multi-level charge) flash is the future... but AMD has been working only in multi-bit flash. Interesting that the concept doesn't work effectively (size) for NAND. Thanks for the article links... Camille's PIN remains a mystery to me but I am sure someone here will figure it out.

EDIT: found the solution(s) -- PM is interested in comparing process & results.

Interesting article on flash. It is actually coming from STMicroelectronics, and I guess they have some technology in this area, that is multibit flash cells, since they came up with this editorial. Do you have any idea about where their technology stand compared to AMD and Intel? How do they achieve multi-bit in their cells?
