Good 'ol Uncle Al is still printing, thank goodness. We would probably all be well up the proverbial creek without a paddle if he hadn't recognized what was going on back in '96. When he floated the idea of higher interest rates as a precautionary measure back then, the screeches of protest from Congress and the business community were so loud that I guess he decided to give the zombies what they wanted for a while, followed by a deft bursting of the zombie bubble and then crank the presses flat out to maintain nominal pricing. The man's a genius.
