IMO, there will be a run on a major bank within 12-18 mths. The seeds of doubt have been sown in the peoples' mind. Await harvest.

That's actually what has been needed in Japan. Pull some of the cash out to create a weaker yen and force interest rates higher.

Japanese banks and the postal savings plan have effectively become "mattresses" for the Japanese public.

And a lower yen would definitely boost the USD, and quite likely the POG. But one has to wonder about the impact on the global markets. After all, only the most naive actually believe Japan can prosper without a significant devaluation occurring first.
