I agree with some of what you say Ken but some lefties do appreciate American values, including some on these boards, and have conducted themselves responsibly.... Blanketing "the left" in the entirety is just as pernicious as the bigoted spew we hear from so many lefties about the "religious right" or "fascist right". I am confining my comments to those specific individuals who have shown a propensity towards antidemocratic postings.....

Is it your position that if someone has leftist views, he should not be able to start a software company? That an engineer with leftist views should not be able to teach engineering? By the way, one reason I posted the Hitchens piece is to show that being a leftist does not necessarily mean that on is anti- American, anti- West, or anti- humanity....nor even against the Administration's conduct of the War on Terror.......
