Kap, <I am looking forward to local stooges slamming Banias's Performance Rating they way they slammed AMD's.>

According to Otellini (your favorite man <G>):

- Intel will be clear on which benchmarks they use to come up with the rating.

- Intel will be up-front on what the actual performance is.

- Intel will not use the performance rating as a replacement for the clock speed.

Sounds like the "ModelHurtz" rating AMD should have come up with in the first place. Of course, that assumes AMD's marketing department was smarter than the average 'Droid in the first place.

Me too. Otellini already claimed that Intel's performance ratings will not be based on comparisons to "older technology." So the first time someone at Intel compares Banias to a P4, that promise is broken.

EDIT - Whoops! I forgot! In Intel-speak, only AMD has "older technology."

Kap, Re: "Talking about hypocrites, I am looking forward to local stooges slamming Banias's Performance Rating they way they slammed AMD's."

Will Intel be hypocritical if they use model numbers for Banias?

IMO, if they go against their word of providing performance proofs, keeping megahertz along side the number, or not comparing against older processor cores, then yes, they deserve to get slammed, as AMD has.
