Back to my Arab friend---

He pointed out that keeping Iraq together is a monumental task. The Shiites(a majority) in the middle, Sunnis in the West, and Kurds in the East. All have major grievances against each other. Just dividing them by Wilson's principle of self-determination is complicated by the immense oil wealth which, of course, magnifies all the disputes. Furthermore, Iraq has been used-- and indeed actively encouraged--- by the US as a counterweight to Iran.

How the hell can we balance this without prolonged use of force? It aint easy.

>>> And he won't have the answers anymore then than he has the answers now. Then What? <<<

Bush goes into retirement with Janet Reno. He would not be the first President to be forced out of office for starting something he could not finish. (Truman, LBJ, Bush Sr.)
