Ouch. Has AMD been acquired by BitBoyz?

You can't buy a Tbred Rev 2 anywhere-- eta is 10/1. Barton is now a 1Q/03 part, and Hammer has slipped two quarters?

Richanfamus, from the CNET article:

<Opteron, a version of Hammer for servers, will still come out in the first half.>

Hard to believe, unless Hammer's only problem is speed-related.

<The delays are occurring to accommodate the release of a new version of Athlon with a 333MHz bus, said Crank.>

A huge load of bull. Not even the staunchest AMDroid would believe that.

rich,

Re: "Advanced Micro Devices has pushed out the release of its highly anticipated
Hammer chip for desktops by almost a quarter, and will delay the release of another Athlon chip."

Who woulda guessed ... duh <ggg> Like this hasn't come up on this thread
before ??!! AMD is having trouble with their process at .13um with the
integration of copper and LowK. I have "heard" that AMD might be running some
"DasHumpers" with FSG (replacing LowK) ... These could be having speed
problems ??!! We will have to see.

Make It So,
Yousef

As if P4 could compete with Athlon:
