$130 billion trade deficit: I remember being told shortly ago that the falling dollar would help the trade deficit...

I remember during Eisenhower's term that an $18 billion trade deficit in a year was cause for concern. Of course that was when the dollar was still pegged at $32 per ounce of gold,(what was then considered by some as a "barbaric" metal ) now a days it is easier to just run the printing press.<g>
