There are many parables in western culture about making a deal with the devil. NOT a good idea.

1. Establish a clear and present danger;

2. Convince the world of the danger;

3. Pressure him to remove the danger;

4. Remove him.

Israel has over 100 nuclear devices and a triad to deliver them (land, sea, air). You don't score points in the Arab or Islamic world if you kill thousands of Iraqis because Saddam may get 1. If we are going to have the peaceful world you desire, you and your mentally challenged hero need to come up with more peaceful solutions to problems.

I personally don't believe that Bush or the Republicans since Reagan want a more peaceful world. They want a balance of military power which lets us destroy any adversary and completely protects us from harm. The anti missile (star wars) system they have been/are pushing is to achieve this end. They are really thrown by the terrorism problem and it seems that they have no answer to it. Right now, the answer is to declare war on it, marshall resources, suspend individual rights, and play it by ear.
