To all people, including unfortunately my Prime Minister Jean Chretien, who have stated that the US was partly responsible for the attack of 9/11 because the US is so rich and successful let me state the following.
We educate women to be equal partners in our society, the Arabs do not, therefore they are wasting 50% of their potential wealth producing brain power.
The Saudi princes and Iraqi leaders waste their nations wealth, the former by shopping sprees in the west, the latter by spending on armaments.
The Arabs let a middle ages religion guide their thinking both in religious matters and secularly, the West has separated church and state. The modern mullahs having so much influence are analagous to the popes, bishops and priests of the Christian faith in the middle ages who kept the people down and illiterate, so that they would be in control and be wealthy. The west saw the light in the reformation hundreds of years ago, Islam is still to have its reformation.

I disagree. It is both the oil and the Israeli lobby that are combining forces here. Note that in the 1980s, when Israel hated Saddam with a passion, the US still provided tremendous and vital support to Saddam. The Israeli lobby was as powerful then as it is now.

I agree, though, that the oil factor is overblown by the media (the same crowd that is trying to incite an attack on Saudi Arabia), and that the Israeli factor is covered up by the media.

Nice dissection of Bush's speech (not too hard, since he had nothing to say)
