of course. there are always several elements pushing for war. there are always war profiteers who beat the drums of war. there are wag the dog politicians. there are many elements, including oil. steve forbes just can't help himself at the thought of seizing iraqi oilfields. my point is, we hear all the standard arguments about oil and wag the dog and such but the israeli interest in pushing the u.s. to war with iraq always gets a pass.

the media won't touch it.

perhaps israel was satisfied with iran-iraq beating up on each other in the eighties.
