It probably depends on how you define "fault-tolerant." IBM's mainframes will tolerate certain classes of fault.

I don't think they have anything that they market generally that is fault-tolerant in the same sense as Tandem's offerings. I suspect they sell some military gear that is, though.

Sun may build fault tolerant computers, however, it is not helping their bottom line. Sun has been poorly managed. They have not adequately diversified their businesses after losing telecomm and dot.com
