We agree on that point...........I think that the position should be more temporary along with that of the governors. Our current system gives us no recourse for ousting should the fed chairmen veer the economy off course. ( That I know of)

Any public office that makes the position holder's every word become the target of financial roulette, should have checks and balances built into it's framework...........and especially when it's so directly involved with the economy like you said.

I also think that our Supreme COurt appointees should not be judges for life. They should be experienced judges with many years of practice but I would feel more comfortable without the "life" clause. I do not think they should be able to take any job after their term to cut down on the temptation for corruption. Other branches of gov't are limited to terms so I would like to see the court ( and the House) follow.
