If this not success of war on terror what else is success! Within a year of the crime the masterminds are incarcerated! (On arrest Ramzi Binalshibh, a prime suspect in last year's 9/11 terror carnage, apprehended in Pakistan. Addressed to those who decry Bush on his resolve to eradicate terror.) This is the greatest success of President Bush’s strategy to win allies and help win the war on terror, those who claim, like Michael Moore, that war on terror has failed have no clue how extended these tentacles of terror are expanded, how deep is the hate and how grave is the danger to free society. If these extremists elements are left on their own we will be faced with polarisation of the world and a disconnected world between North and South, these shall not be poverty based divisions or ethnic divisions of the world this is going to be the worst of the threats mankind has ever faced, that of ‘ideological division.’ Divisions hijacked and controlled by a politburo of deranged individuals like Omar, Osama and others. Our globe cannot afford this and if Mr. Bush would have not shown the steely resolve these guys would have won over the fight of the streets of Islam. This kind of partition cannot be allowed. Today Saddam and other icons who promote divisions based on 'ideological Puritanism' and hijack Islam politicise it with blood based terror and provide sanctuaries that can become safe havens for terrorists and enduring menace to the world, these rising threats need to be checked and the message that ‘you can hide but cannot escape’ has to be taken home to the providers of sanctuaries. This is much more important than anything else that we hold dear, our basic liberties would be forcefully denied if this assault on free society by medieval minds continue. We will become paranoid to see enemies everywhere if the fringe radicals are not stopped. His success is winning right kind of allies in this war of terror is his first greatest achievement, those who doubt his ability should see the results within one year on this war of terror. 500,000 women denied education are going to schools in Kabul if liberals think human freedom has great meaning this one feat of reversal of ‘Talebani’ vision is greatest achievement. The preparation of future mothers who may train their Afghans children peace and not war! Is the great ideology of human rights partial only to the maintaining status quo on current state of global affairs and keeping close eyes on growing and continuing dangers to the very existence of free society in the west? Is this not appeasement? Somewhere a line has to be drawn where no one crosses and Mr. Bush has drawn that line he has let the world know that American blood is not cheap blood anyone who spills will have to pay, this is pay time and liberals cannot digest it under the garb of rosy civil rights and human liberties they want rights for those who have denied them on a whole country in last one decade. By shunning suggestions of lobbies between the key dates of 11th and 13th Sept with vested interests to punish Pakistan from day one he went for the jugular using his old ally as a front to attack the key Al Qaeda. He issued an ultimatum 'with us or against us' once Pakistanis showed their willingness he got them working hard. Similarly now he has told the world if Saddam wants to abide by the UN resolutions or not? In days he has to decide or else face the music. It was this strategy the led on 13th Sept 2001 special US intelligence groups were landing in Islamabad to plan the war on error. Abu Zubayda and Ramzi are the biggest of the catches within Alqaeda hierarchy and with this catch it will be known to US intelligence if Osama is alive or dead, if anyone knows about his whereabouts this is the guy and he is now in safe hands of US intelligence and in custody of ‘sources’ who will make sure he talks. This will help crush a lot of cells and this is the biggest of the catch in terms of elimination of cells in my opinion. The anti Pakistan lobby still make lot accusations against Pakistan willingness and ability to deliver if this is not special delivery what else is? With this arrest they have egg on their face, with this arrest it shows that Mr. Bush is determined to get these vermin’s he is after them and will not leave them to rest and plan. Under Clinton USA slept in lumber, Cole, Al Khobar should have warranted a war on terror, it is only and only due to resolve of USA under likes of Bush, Rumsfield and Cheney that we find Alqaeda being dismembered and world becoming a reasonable place for peaceful people. Ramzi is the mastermind of the 11th Sept attacks, he had 25 million $ on his head, was responsible transferring money to Zachriah Mosaauvi and send messages to Atta as his girl friend. With his arrest those following half-truths against my country is laid to rest. 1. ISI is still not controlled by Mush and is state within state although I don’t disagree before Mush era, it was far more influential but Mush has definitely brought it in line with the objectives of the country that is elimination of terror. 2. Mehmood was the last hawk his termination ended an era of influence and USA has a great access to intelligence of a set up that was influential in building and sustenance of Talebin, now once that set up changes sides dramatically it is a hard digest for many but fact is that this change of course has helped eradication of possible future terror and cut off the cardinal links between extremist Islam and terror groups. This operation would have not happened had that been the case, we at this thread has been trying to bring the facts on the surface that lot has changed since 11th Sept. 3. That streets are against Mush and they would help Alqaeda rather one can see in the pictures on TV that when these terrorists are being arrested they are surrounded by hundreds of Pakistanis, if streets were in favour they could show the resentment rather every one is happy to see elimination of terror from the streets of Karachi. 2. Pakistanis are not short changed for 25 million $ or 10 $, this is second man with 25 million $ booty on his head, they showed their resolve like in arrest of Abu Zubayda that money does not matter, it also lays to rest the presumption being made by many a pundits that Pakistani support is lukewarm. 6 police officers were seriously injured and this happened in the affluent district of Karachi where exchange took place for 3 hours. I reported it as it was happening, on 11th Sept, no better gift on that solemn occasion could have been given to the families of the victims of 11th Sept one year after atrocious attack the master mind free and roaming was finally apprehended and taken to unknown place in no time. This is poetic justice on the first anniversary to see the man who masterminded the whole thing under US arrest. The enemies of Pakistan will be shocked whereas friends of Pakistan happy to see an old ally tearing apart Alqaeda like they did the ‘old politburo’ from USSR. From day one made this claim that Pakistan will be a key ally in this eradication of vermin’s, I am happy to see that happening right in front of us, the naysayers will keep condemning my nation but this service is beyond the call of duty.
