there is only one way i can reconcile the facts as i currently understand them with this obsession with iraq, so i will go out on a limb here and make a prediction: if we go to "war" with iraq, saddam will still be in power when the war "ends". i can see the case for treating the saudis - and arguably pakistan - as serious threats to the united states. i just can't see the case for iraq.
