Dr Khidir Hamza, who was science adviser to the Atomic Energy Establishment and later helped to start and direct Iraq’s nuclear bomb programme before he defected in 1994, claims in an interview with The Times today that Saddam could be in a position to make three nuclear weapons within the next few months, if he has not already done so.

So Saddam could have three nuclear weapons already? Isn't that just swell! Let's pray he doesn't. What I really worry about is that Saddam will deliberately kill as many people as he can on his way down -- Americans, Iraqis, no matter -- out of pure spite. He knows that by the moral calculus that is used today in the Arab world, the US will be held responsible for all the deaths he causes.

Cool. so, he takes 8 years after defecting to say "u got a few months".

Why do I doubt the credibility of this person ?

IRAQ could produce nuclear weapons within months

Don't worry about it, KLP. If Saddam sets it off, Ritter will fall on it, and take the explosion.

Same ol, same ol. Timing is everything; and the timing on this one is more than a little suspicious. I would think/hope even the hawks around here would find this suspicious.
