Thanks, Charley. I appreciate your perspective. Sounds like it's nice but not a must-see. The trip planning software on the net sometimes routes me across Oklahoma and then south through New Mexico to Tucson and sometimes across Texas to I-10. I don't know why it can't make up its mind which is better. <g> If I take the northern route, Ruidoso wouldn't be out of the way at all and there are other things in New Mexico that I would like to see. Things are still in the early planning stages. And much depends on when I get myself in gear. If the snow is falling in New Mexico, the southern route might be the better choice. And then again, I might fly...
