To offer a slightly different although not entirely new topic. Provoking is an offense. We are seeing more and more laws being promoted where provoking when it reaches the level of "harrassment" or "stalking" becomes a criminal offense. Two wrongs do not make a right. The fact that one person has provoked another person does not excuse the second person's criminal behavior. The second person's criminal behavior also does not erase the offense of the provokator. It goes both ways.
