room,

I'm tired of going around and around with permabears on this issue. Let me ask you a question- do you know any insiders?

You appear to be under the false impression that everybody cashed out in 2000 totally and sat on the cash knowing that the mkt was going to crash like this. This is completely false. I am in a private fund currently, one of the other investors is the CEO of a very high profile chip equipment company- I know for a fact he exercised options to put money into both this fund and a new Kleiner VC series. The VC money is all but gone and my fund is down 70% from his high. The insiders that I know that cashed out, for the most part put the money into other speculative investments that are also way down. Even so, there has never been a time that I can remember where insiders were still willing to deploy over 5mm$ of their own money in their own companies so readily, that is, those that have millions to spend- many do not, my friends do not. The COO of a startup company I am looking at doesn't even have a net worth of 1mm anymore. (she is mid-level VP of a big company, not the top level).

You are reaching to try to discount this indicator which only says, that insiders think this is the bottom.... it is not to say things can't go lower.
