Because it is the blacks who are being systematically disenfranchised to a much greater extent than any other ethnic group in the U.S.

Absolutely not! For example, the penalty for crack cocaine is 100 times more severe than the penalty for the same quantity of powder cocaine. Since crack use was predominantly used in black neighborhoods, the penalties were disproportionately distributed to blacks, with upper and middle class whites getting vastly less severe sentences.

It's real. There is a racial bias and discrimination in this matter.
