unsupportable in your view, which is one man's opinion
you have some facts wrong, like the growth itself
hard to find your arguments credible if you dont get that right

I had an absolutely wonderful time in graduate school
I found the love of my life here
I excelled in graduate school here
despite that, I gradually came to dislike the city
its limited nice few suburbs did not mollify my views
my opinions were formed firmly by 1977 (not in 2000)
maybe you didnt read that, Tim
you seem to want to interpret my dislike of Pitt
it is based upon experience, and is longstanding

every annual visit from Boston since then reinforced my views
as I saw many neighborhoods fall into decay
the bridges each fall apart
some nice new downtown buildings like Oxford and another
the new skating rink is tiny but nice
but tunnel and bridge access severely limits growth
and my old neighborhood highschool fell victim to violence and ghetto creep
I refer to Taylor Allderdice HS (The Dice)

the water quality has improved, true
from toxic to now undrinkable in 30 years
you advised me not to intake any Ohio River water last summer
I would not dip my hand into the Monongahela River
but the Allegheny River is nice, upstream a few miles

let's drop this
you like the city, despite living 30 miles north of it
if you like it so much, move back into it
