We cannot know what a field is, nor matter. Not true at all. We know exactly what a field is. It's a boundary condition between dimensional boundaries. And we know what matter is. Matter is a stability of energy over a dimension. Maybe you should look for the paper called:"Generalization Of Dimensions". It was a beautiful written paper dating back to 1987 and quantized all dimensions. It even states that the speed of light is NOT a constant, never has been. And that over time all dimension affect ever other by fixed reason. And the Klux of it, it states that by Supper symmetry where N=11 is a faulty analysis and leads to incorrect equations. Only with N=121 does a coherent formula arrive at what we perceive as the constants... {those of vacuum, charge etc} We live in a Pi/3 * R^n dimensional universe
