Well, not exactly. The tactic is "let's agree to disagree" or "this ground has been plowed" whenever the wings have been pinned. Agreeable and non-confrontational, but evasive nonetheless.

You are 100% correct on the geopolitical aspect. If we don't stop Saddam now he will have many nukes, not just the odd untested one. Saddam armed with 10-20 nukes of any size is not something the West should allow. It would mean the destruction of Israel and nuclear blackmail.

The case against going into Iraq is sadly and unfortunately bumper sticker-simple: "What has Saddam done to the US?"
