Two possible scenarios:

(1) Saddam's boys all wave white flags when our tanks come rolling in to Baghdad.

(2) Saddam's support is more substantial than we thought, and the fighting involves U.S. troops having to take out 13-year-old boys armed with AK-47s on rooftops.

Then there's the outside possibility that Muslim extremists by the thousands will flock to Baghdad to participate in this house-to-house holy war against the American infidel.

There's a likelihood that Saddam will not be captured or killed. (And if we capture him alive, then what?) Perhaps the best scenario would allow him to abdicate to somewhere like Yemen.

Our mission only succeeds if moderate Arab leaders (king of Jordan, president of Turkey, for example) participate in establishing a new government in Baghdad.
