Oh, that's not necessary. You feel strongly about your beliefs, and sometimes emotions overtake cold, hard reason. There's a lot of that on this particular SI thread, and I have some of the more... ummm... impulsive posters on Ignore.

I view the current administration as top heavy with oil interests.

Of course. They're from Texas. And as long as the US imports oil from the MidEast, any destabilizing element wreaks havoc on the economy. Now if Mr Bush REALLY wanted to make money in oil, don't you think he'd declare a moratorium on importing oil from OPEC nations linked to Al Qaida?

And I happen to think that Mr Ashcroft is trying to strike that delicate balance between keeping terrorists from attacking again and maintaining an open society - and that is a difficult task. Don't you agree?
