Mr. Ashcroft bends over backwards to protect the rights of his fellow gun guys in having gun purchase records destroyed after 24 hours instead of the six months allowed under the Brady act. Yet he has no respect for states' rights having interfered with CA medical marijuana and OR euthanasia. Now for the hyperbole...Ashcroft is twisted. He's gung-ho for the second amendment and trounces the rest.

Considering how much money Texas/Bush/Cheney connected companies like Carlyle and Haliburton make in overseas oil producing nations like Kuwait, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia this is a pretty silly strawman. Wouldn't you agree?
