Howdy Clappy! I agree with a lot of your picks. Good job on the run down!

Young and Dan Marino - agree.

I thought the same thing about Brett Favre. A characteristic he has that Montana has was to have "fun." I've heard stories about how crazy Montana was in the huddle. Favre has great leadership. Listen to his teammates. Great testimonials.

Funny you mentioned the comments about Manning and Warner. I've questioned whether Manning is missing something myself, especially recently. I really like Warner but maybe he needs to get refocused.

On Brady, he's got confidence written all over him. He;s also got that "let's have fun" edge that I think Favre and Montana possess. I think you nailed that one spot on.

I've seen these reports on Vick that claim he is superman, but I have not watched him myself. Don't know.

Hey, on Bradshaw, I'd put him up there, yes. I'll give that guy credit. He was tough. Didn't mind getting hit. Even stated he hated that touch quarterback rule. Believes football means hit the quarterback.

What's your fav team? What colors so you dress up in?

clap,

I always thought Troy Aikman was underrated.

From days gone by, how about Otto Graham, Bart Starr, Ken Stabler, Roger Staubach, Len Dawson?

Bradshaw was the winning QB in four Super Bowls, twice
selected Super Bowl MVP. He never lost in the big game.

Although he had his neck & wrist broken playing the game &
his career was shortened from these injuries plus a
shoulder injury, Bradshaw is

- 32nd all time in passing attempts
- 38th all time in completions
- 31st all time in passing yards
- 19th all time in touchdown passes

In 23 post season games he threw for 4,767 yards & 39
touchdowns & rushed for 346 yards, scoring 2 touchdowns.

His record in post season games was 18 - 5.

Why would anyone even consider him amongst the greatest
QB's in the game<gg>?

Was he the best ever? Probably not. Perhaps one of the 10
best arguably, but not the best.

The Steelers ran the ball first & foremost. Bradshaw was a
team player & played within the system. It worked well.

I see no one mentioned Fran Tarkenton. Probably not the
best ever, but he did take some mediocre offensive teams to
the big dance. And boy could he scramble.

My pick for best QB ever would have to be a Pittsburgh area
native..........

No, not Terrry Bradshaw.... he was a good 'ole southern boy.

No, not Johnny Unitas (Pittsburgh).

No, not Joe Namath (Beaver Falls).

No, not Dan Marino (Pittsburgh's Oakland section).

No, not Jim Kelly (East Brady).

No not George Blanda (Youngwood).

No, not Terry Hanratty (Butler).

.

.

IMVHO, the best QB ever was Joe Montana (Monongahela).
