Karen,

I know you are optomistic, but you will forgive me if I find your comments a bit naive.

You automatically trust Saddam, and unconditionally mistrust Bush. In this manner you are just as bad as the right wing who questioned everything Clinton did (even all the good stuff).

And remember for most of the last 10 years he was flaunting the Clinton administration (who were also reponsible for inserting the 'evil' spies in the 'noble' inspection program).

John

"Saddams offer is unconditional. He'll allow UN inspectors to fly into Baghdad. He says he has nothing to hide. He wants to prove that. There's nothing to interpret. I understand you're cynical about Saddam."

Wow! Spoken to Saddam recently? Was it at Uday's birthday party or did you just dial 1-800-SADDAM?

Why aren't you and the rest of our local appeasement lobby MORE "CYNICAL" about Sadddam, Karen?

Why is it that the majority of your cynicism is directed at your own country?

Sure it was unconditional. Unconditional inspection of military sites that have no WMD facilities.

And Saddam reiterated that through his agent. Sure, let the inspectors in, with any politicians along for the ride as well. Just give us a list of the places you want to visit and we'll arrange it all. Don't be so naive, Karen. It's not like this stunt hasn't been pulled before.

Saddam is buying time and splitting the UNSC.

"Our country is ready to receive any scientific experts, accompanied by politicians you choose to represent any one of your countries, to tell us which places and scientific installations they would wish to see, particularly those about which the American officials have been fabricating false stories, alleging that they contain prohibited materials or activities," Foreign Minister Naji Sabri told the world body, quoting the Iraqi president.
