<<...How many posts did Scott have today?...>>

Not sure...This is the first day I've posted in about a week.

<<...Isn't he busy at work too?...>>

Well, you haven't seen me post much in the last week have you..?? I've put in over 75 hours for a client on a project...I have flexibility and set my own hours -- the milestones are set with the client up front at the beginning of the projects...Today I was in my home office and had some downtime to catch up on bills and emails and visit SI. And I will agree that I did post a lot.

<<...Most of these posts were OP/ED, left wing media, from various sources. Do you honestly think he read every single one of them...>>

Well, that's your perspective...I can assure you that I don't post things that I haven't read first. I will also tell you that I don't always agree with everything in an article or an Op-Ed that I happen to post. Sometimes I put things on a thread to stimulate discussion...I think that's OK too last time I checked...Many that know me well (and Scott Mantz has met me in person) would claim that I'm someone who is pretty down to earth and open-minded...Do I care about this country...?? You bet I do...I was 100% behind the Administration during the Gulf War and after the 9/11 attack...Yet, I am concerned about how The Bush Administration is managing the economy and hyper-focussing on Iraq...Am I concerned that launching 'pre-emptive strikes' on other nations will set a bad precedent and could have some unintended consequences..?? You bet I am...Can I be patriotic and still disagree with some of our leaders..?? Last time I checked I could.

<<...After 80 or so one sided, adgenda laden, factually & credibility lacking postings, one would think that those with an opposing POV might want to gripe just a little bit IMVHO.>>

That's your opinion. I will say that since I have been posting on this thread and others in the last 24 hours I have received a number of positive responses to some of my posts. Others disagree with me or with an article I posted. That's OK -- we all have our own perspective on things.

Finally, you did leave out links to 2 of my posts from the last 24 hours where I did state opinions that I feel strongly about...

wow...that was quite a post, Tim...

You should be able to write a doctoral dissertation of The Stockman after all of that research. Very nicely done. Hope it made you feel better to get that off your chest.

Have a nice weekend, and don't take no chit.

scott

Thanks for the heroic support, Tim. Unfortunately, this thread is bloated with doomsday news from the left. I have been sucked into the vortex after weeks of the daily tedium of picking out the pepper from the fly specks. The vitriol has rendered this thread useless for current market talk as it relates to gold, etc. That was my purpose for coming here in the first place.

I'm not suggesting that the periodic venting is not useful to meet the therapeutic needs of some who reside here. Maybe that is what Jim had in mind. A place where anyone could walk around with their rifle on full automatic, despite the fact that many have only blank ammunition..<gg> I am just saying that for me, this is no longer a place that is useful for guidance as we face the uncertainties of the market. Since DNorman led me to the PS & Sto thread about a month ago, Subject 52896 my portfolio is up substantially, over 5.5% this week alone. Granted, 37% of my portfolio is gold stocks thanks to Jim, who I followed here from the old porch.

Well, have a good night, my friend. Sleep well in the knowledge of Him who holds us all in his almighty hand.

We remain, under God,

jj
