I think I agree with that. But I would consider a command to be an action, at least if there is a reasonable expectation that it will be followed. I would also say that people can rightfully face legal consequences for their words. Fraud or threats or slander could result in legal action. I don't think words that are meerly offensive of demeaning should.

Good article. It seems to be saying that communication does not happen unless there is a respondant sender and receiver. It is hard to believe that anyone would post a message on this thread without at least the expectation that it will be received and processed by others. It is possible for a post to be completely overlooked but I don't think that is the norm, especially among the frequent flyers here. It is impossible for people to post have other people read, process, and respond to the posts, simultaneously claiming to remain uneffected. Especially when the posts are laden with emotionally charged banter.
