I don't keep yearly figures, but I manage 3 portfolios of my favorite 7 which are down 46%, 36.5%, and 32.5% from my cost.

I can't contradict your feeling of "lot of pain" before "significant gains". I don't know. The prices have disappointed me but have not reached levels that I thought impossible. The bad news is they still could. The good news is that the prices are still tied to fundamentals and the fundamentals for the 7 are holding up well in a very poor overall environment.

By the way, you, to some extent, and Jacob Snyder, also to some extent, have announced feelings of "capitulation", today. I need to ponder on the implications of this.
