"If Sharon followed "Bush" policy, he would preemptively destroy the air forces of Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia."

Israel already did that in 1967 or did you forget? and then later on took out iraqi nuclear plant. You are blinded by hatred for republicans, bush, conservatives. You cant think outside the neat little box you have planted yourself in. How can you miss the similarities. Sharon is bush, Peres is algore.

Cary,
Israel and US both in UN doghouse now. How dare Israelis hunt down terrorists? How dare US go after terrorist state--see british dossier cnn.com
Cary, i am a little disappointed that you wont review the post below and my response. I am willing to move further to your point of view on israel/arab war, if you will reconsider containment as a viable policy vis a vis iraq. mike

PS Speaking of algore, did you get a load of his political positioning on iraq. Saddam breathes a sigh of relief thinking now US will back down. All algore did was allow other dems in the pres field to position themselves to the right of algore including both clintons. What a jerk algore is--TG he is not president and to think i voted for him. Another one of my mistakes Cary.

Cary and Thread,
A couple of thoughts from the morning news.

#1 Some folks here have a hatred of bush that interferes with their judgement in my opinion. I suggest you read Blairs speech and the British dossier published yesterday. I had a great aversion to clinton and was always comforted when Blair stood behind him.
#2 In a small article in the NYPost today Shimon Peres charged that Hizbollah had killed the three israeli soldier they were supposedly holding prisoner for three years. This may be the first step in an Israel move against the enemy on the other border.
#3 CNN headlines today
• U.S. dispatches Special Forces to Ivory Coast | Video

• Italy's Berlusconi backs Bush on Iraq | Video

• Indian commandos end temple siege | Video

• West Nile virus death toll at 98 | Video | Interactive

• Christians targeted in Karachi massacre

#4 Heard David Milch, former director of TV show NYPD Blue use this quote yesterday. Thought it was apropos.

"If you want to make God laugh, show him your plans."

#5 And one from Jacob in a pm to me yesterday reminding me that "I am not my money."
