I agree. But Gore has flipped, as you know, with this new position. Nothing wrong with that, He could honestly have changed his mind.

However he "Waffled" with this one. He left himself an "Out," as a good Politician should. Lets follow the path this next year.

Every once in a while ol' Al does a good thing. In this case, a very good thing. Just need more. Consistency is the way this is done.

Regarding his position on Iraq, no one can accuse Gore of consistency. He positioned himself as a foreign policy hawk in 2000, remember? He called for confrontation with Iraq.
