Hello. I have noticed that this kind of directionless volatility is very common to the afternoon after FMOC meetings. I'm sure this is no news to anyone here, but the trick is, IMO, to come up with a trading technique for this kind of market (some sort of fast scalping involving limit orders and carefully chosen stocks), and then to remember to implement it the next time the Fed meets.

Often I only remember these things too late to really take advantage of them in a carefully controlled manner..
