The problem with suggesting someone try rugelach is that it varies so much in quality. Like babka, for example. (Chocolate babka!) It can be nothing, or it can be supreme. Ordinary supermarket rugelach isn't wonderful.

Of course if you had a shred of common decency, you would make a batch of good rugelach and send a box to everybody in this house who begs.

Of course that would establish a dangerous precedent.

Oh well.
