There may be some hope for you yet! I'm beginning to appreciate your wit and your thinking. Too bad you aren't a conservative. In my diatribe about scientists, I was thinking about how they participated in a NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) case that I'm somewhat familiar with. I took notes at a few of their meetings and was amazed at their pontificating on stochastic processes and so forth. They were trying to go for that last 10 percent, which to me is completely illogical in a process that couldn't be controlled even if you had perfect knowledge. Maybe that's why you are a senior scientist! You know when to stop. Actually I don't really know how many scientists are in politics. A few doctors are, I know. I was thinking that they would have to abandon their principles in order to adopt positions that were politically feasible. Maybe I am just blowing wind on that.
