I agree. But his other points about what to pay attention to are perfectly valid. I just wouldn't apply them to every stock. Certainly not EDS.

Considering a little nibble on AAPL. I've heard some excellent things about stuff they will have coming out, and at $14 and $12 in cash....seems like a good situation.
SEBL is in a similar cash situation, but I haven't heard good things about anything there.

Herb Greenberg's been pulling their financials apart and writing about quality of earnings issues for months. It all comes home to roost.

All would have been fine for some of these unstable companies had we had the return to IT spending at even half the levels projected a year ago. And EDS now has another competitor via the HPQ merger. The services business as a whole looks like toast doesn't it.
